With the official support already ended, it's hard to believe that those who still have it up and running on their systems can receive something new after all these years. When it comes to older iterations of the OS, like Windows 2000, things tend to become more complicated, especially because it received no less than 4 service packs. Updating the operating system with the latest fixes and patches released by Microsoft is usually an automated process, handled by the built-in update mechanism or it can be performed manually by any user.
